Responsibilities
· Perform onsite and in shop measurements utilizing Faro Vantage laser tracker and Faro Arm
· Provide laser tracker measurement services on a variety of structures, mechanical systems, assemblies, components and machines across multiple industries and site locations/conditions
· Organize, pack, inventory and maintain all equipment to be used to complete metrology projects
· Documenting daily progress and inspection procedures through daily logs and pictures
· Produce easy to understand inspection reports that include written descriptions/cover letters, pictures, and data tables.
· Create inspection plans
· Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
· Communicate with field machinists to develop on the fly work process adjustments if necessary
· Perform machine alignments
· Perform surveys on equipment to be repaired/machined
· Communicate clearly and professionally with customer contacts
· Describe geometric alignments effectively in written and oral formats
Requirements
· Experience with Spatial Analyzer software (New River Kinematics)
· Able to create inspection plans/part frames without the aid CAD Files or blueprints
· Proficient in MS Office, specifically Word and Excel
· Must be willing to travel
· Strong knowledge of GD&T
· Able to analyze blueprints, specifications, scope of work and other documentation
· Strong analytical, project management and communication skills are necessary
· Skilled in various mechanical measurements (calipers, micrometers, indicators, levels, etc)
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds
· Must be able to climb ladders, work at heights
* Must be able to Travel up to 50%
